The Department of Diagnostic Services consists of three specialties of Dentistry and the research section: Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Research and Endodontics. The objective of the Department is to produce dentists with sophisticated diagnostic skills, based on the ability to critically analyze data gained from a patient’s medical history, from clinical observations and from diagnostic aids. Further, the objective of the Department is to produce dentists that appreciate the patient as a complex organism through the ability to synthesize clinical findings with knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and pathology. The objective of the research section is to improve oral, dental and craniofacial health through research, research training and dissemination of research findings.
